We spent Friday evening and most of Saturday waiting for Hurricane Hannah but she decided not to show! We got some spitting rain and a bit of wind and that was about it. Although we were all up at 6am (WHY?), we DID get a nice family day at home enjoying each other's time. We had explained to the kids that it was going to be a family day, we weren't going anywhere and we may not even have power so we'd be doing puzzles and playing board games. The kids were glad for the power because we got to watch a couple of movies we hadn't seen yet and play Wii. It was actually really nice. The sun came out in the early evening and the kids were ready to run. Daddy went out with his buddies around 8 and Skyler passed out shortly after:
I'm not sure if that position was comfortable, she wasn't in it long before she was O U T. I guess the early morning caught up with her, she needs her beauty sleep. Zack and I snuggled in my bed where I got him to data dump about his week in school. I swear the only time that kid will talk is when you're letting him stay up late.
Sunday was clean up day. The kids cleaned their rooms and helped us clean up the house. They're getting good at not whining about chores. I think the allowance has helped. They're each seeing their cash add up and liking the feeling.
Mike Amy & Nate came over to celebrate Matt's birthday with us. He's 31 years old today, September 8! Happy Birthday Sweetie!
Nate LOVES Zack:
And Skyler doesn't like being left out of the Nate lovin:
That's all the news I've got. We had a nice at home weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice next weekend - we've already missed one weekend of soccer games!
