Christmas Eve 2006

We hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas with their family and friends. There are two video links to the before and after of Christmas in our house. I didn't take any digital video of the kids opening presents, just regular video so I can't upload it. There is also a link to the pics that I did take. It's hard to be there and take lots of pictures so there aren't really any of the kids opening gifts. We just enjoyed that time and let the camcorder run. One thing that was funny, when Zack walked in and saw his tv (spelled tve according to him) he said "Oh my heavens, I got a tv". We have no idea where he got "oh my heavens".

For those of you who love to read as much as I do...

There's a great website that allows you to trade books between members. I've been using it for a few months and think it's fantastic. Basically, you sign up and list all of the books that you have lying around your house that you don't want anymore. If someone is looking for that book, you'll get an email with details to mail it. Once they mark it received, then you get a credit and can request a book that you want. Mailing a book costs $1.59 for media mail for a paperback. So, you're getting best sellers for about $1.59. For those of you who think the library is a better idea, I frequently pay more than that in fees. I just forget to return them.

Christmas Tree Pictures

I finally caved and bought a fake tree. Matt thought I was nuts when I pulled up to the house and began yanking a Christmas tree out of the back of the van. I found this one (new) at Goodwill for $65.00. It's pre-lit which completely brought Matt around once he discovered how easy it was. I was nervous, but once we got it up... I just love it!

We went to a state park on Sunday with Gramma Lu (Matt's Mom for those who don't know). We had a fantastic time and got some great pictures.
